How to Move Quicken to New Computer in Easy Steps

4.     Next, sign in to Dropbox on the new system;

5.     After this, follow the path File > Backup and Restore > Restore from the Backup file;

6.     Next, opt for the Dropbox folder and choose the file to restore.

 

Bonus Method: To Move Files from Windows to Mac

The procedure to move is pretty much the same. However, a conversion is needed. To begin conversion and migration:

1.     Launch Quicken on the Windows computer, then click on File;

2.     Under the File menu, proceed to click on Export;

3.     Choose QIF as the file format, and opt for the location to store. It can be either an online (Dropbox or other Drive) or offline (USB drive) location, whichever you prefer;

4.     Next step is to enter an easily comprehensible filename, and click OK to confirm;

5.     From the Quicken Account to Export from the window, choose the account to transfer from
the Mac version;

6.     Now open Quicken on the Mac. Then go to the File menu;

7.     Under File, navigate through Import > From QIF;

8.     Choose the file and the correct category, and import the data from Windows to Mac.
