Quicken offers a wide range of financial
solutions to its members. They have a large number of plans that fit the budget
of everyone. However, there has been a recent development in that department.
The newly introduced Quicken
Home and Business plan offers the best of both worlds. Let us see why
it has become a game-changer.
Benefits of the Quicken Home and Business Plan
The Home and Business (or H&B) plan allows you to manage both personal and professional finances. It offers convenience and simplicity, all under one roof. The major benefits include:
· There are many features, which are a mix of all the previous versions.
· You also have the choice to generate many financial reports.
· This version also has excellent customer support.
· The mobile app of this version is also pretty smooth, and convenient.
There is a steep learning curve to this, but it is totally with it. So now that you know the benefits, let us cut to the chase. In the next section, we cover the way to switch to the Quicken Home and Business plan.
How to Change to Quicken Home and Business
We would like to clarify that it is possible to upgrade and downgrade, both, to the H & B plan. There are certain points associated with them both though. First, we cover the process to change, and after that the conditions to do so.
1. First, you have to go to Quicken’s website. Here you need to navigate to My Account.
2. Now login to your account using the Quicken ID or email ID.
3. After that, you have to click on Subscriptions.
4. Now navigate through Resume Subscription > Manage Subscription. You can also click on Manage Subscription if available.
5. After that, click on Change Plan. On the next page, you have to choose which subscription tier you wish to upgrade to. For the H&B plan, it’ll be Quicken Home, Business, & Rental Property.
6. Finally, launch Quicken, go to open Quicken, and select Help > Check for Updates.
Conditions on an Upgrade
Here are the points to keep in mind when you are upgrading to the Quicken Home and Business plan.
· It is possible to upgrade anytime. However, it can only be done once in 30 days.
· After an upgrade, the pro rate of your original subscription value gets added as additional time.
· Also, you have the option to redeem an activation code present in a retail copy to upgrade
Conditions on a Downgrade
If you have a plan which is more expensive than the H&B, then you need to remember these.
· You can downgrade only in the last six months of your subscription term.
· The new membership plan will start only after the original plan expires.
To sum it all up,
The
Quicken Home and Business version is the perfect middle ground for small
businesses. There are a plethora of features that make it the most popular
version of the finance manager. However, there is no Quicken
Home and Business for Mac. So if you own a Mac, you might have to wait
till the Mac version of H&B comes out (if it does). Apart from that, this
version has all that you can ask from your finance manager.
